Alert MFB unveils new smart account

Alert Microfinance Bank has launched its new Smart Savings Account to empower women and enhance financial inclusion across Nigeria.

In a statement made available to our correspondent by the bank on Monday, the Smart Savings Account is tailored to meet the needs of students, entrepreneurs, and retirees.

According to the statement, the account offers competitive interest rates, digital banking tools, including POS terminals and USSD services, and personalised advisory support to help women save and access loans.

The Alert Group President, Kazeem Olanrewaju, stated that the account is the result of research aimed at bridging gaps that have made it difficult for women to accumulate wealth.

Olanrewaju added that having disbursed over N63bn in loans to women-led businesses, Alert MFB continues to expand its digital service portfolio. Its range of offerings includes debit cards, USSD platforms, mobile banking applications, and Internet banking platforms, all designed to ensure seamless financial transactions.

Raji Saheed, CEO of Alert MFB, noted that the Smart Savings Account aims to drive inclusive economic growth.

The PUNCH reported that Alert Microfinance Bank, a subsidiary of Alert Group, has launched the second edition of its Career Bootcamp, reinforcing its commitment to equipping youths with the financial and professional skills needed to thrive in today’s job market.
