Kebbi gov reserves five SA slots for PWDs

Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has allocated five Special Assistant slots to the state chapter of Deaf and Dumb Association.

He disclosed this during a breaking of the fast (Iftar) with the executive and some selected members of the association at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, on Sunday.

The governor said the gesture was to give everyone in the state a sense of belonging, adding that his government was that of the people, for the people and by the people.

“I commended the support given to me during my campaign era and even now, I thank you people and I will continue to appreciate your efforts,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the leader of the team, Issa Ambursa, told the governor that they were not considered for some slots of Special Assistant given to persons with disabilities in the state.

He said members of the association contributed to the success of the governor during his 2023 electioneering.

While describing the present administration as their government, Ambursa assured the governor that they would continue to support the government to succeed.

He also assured the governor of their collective resolve to stand by him in 2027.
