“He Represents Us Well” – Bature Lauds Ganduje’s Performance

Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity at the Government House in Kano, recently commended Engr. Abba Ganduje, son of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, for his speech at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Strategic Roundtable with the Adamawa State Government.
Bature, a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and a critic of the APC, expressed his personal admiration for Engr. Abba Ganduje’s performance at the event in a Facebook post.
This acknowledgment came despite the longstanding political tensions between their families, which date back to 2015, when Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje allegedly ordered Bature’s arrest during the gubernatorial elections.
“Let me be personal today, as a personal person of my humble self… In all honesty, Engr. Abba Ganduje knows what he is doing. He is a good representative of our village, Dawakin Tofa. He is an excellent fit for his current role at REA. Keep representing us well, my brother. I wish you Allah’s guidance,” Bature stated.
The political rivalry between the APC and NNPP in Kano remains intense.
Tensions between Dawakin Tofa and Ganduje escalated further last year when Ganduje allegedly petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP), accusing Bature of orchestrating his suspension by the APC Ganduje ward executives.
