Stuttgart, Leeds want Dennis

German Bundesliga side Stuttgart and English Championship club Leeds United are reportedly monitoring young Nigerian midfielder and new Super Eagles invitee Anthony Dennis, who currently plays for Göztepe in Turkey.
The 20-year-old Kaduna-born player was recently included in Nigeria’s 39-man provisional squad for this month’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
He has drawn suitors from European clubs following his impressive performances for the Turkish Super Lig outfit. The young player has made three assists in 20 appearances for Southampton’s Sister club with his latest coming in their 2-2 draw against Samsunspor.
According to Africa Foot, his consistency in the Turkish league has not gone unnoticed, with Stuttgart and Leeds preparing to swoop for his signature in the summer transfer window.
The midfielder’s versatility—capable of dictating play from central midfield and driving forward as a box-to-box operator—has made him a standout performer for Göztepe this season.
Dennis signed a contract extension with Göztepe in May last year, keeping him at the club until 2027. However, with European interest growing, the Turkish side could face a tough battle to retain their prized asset.
