Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Victor Boniface were among the star-studded Super Eagles squad that have held their first training session ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda.
The team held the training session at one of the practice pitches in Kigali, Rwanda, on Tuesday.
The session was Eric Chelle’s first since he was named the Super Eagles head coach in January.
22 players named in the 23-man squad have arrived in camp. Only Alhassan Yusuf is still expected to arrive by tomorrow morning.
The Super Eagles will take on Rwanda in Kigali on Friday before playing Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo on March 25.
Nigeria remains winless after four games in the World Cup qualifier. The Eagles have lost one and drawn three and are fifth in Group C of the qualifier.
The team must ensure impeccable performances in their remaining matches to revive their chance of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the US.
